A Caring Robot

Hook: Have you heard of Frankenstein? It’s a spooky story about a man who made a creature, but the creature hurt people because the man didn’t think carefully about what he made. When we make things, we want to be kind and helpful, and make sure our ideas help others, not hurt them. As innovators, we want to be responsible with our innovation.

Think-Pair-Share: Can you think of an invention that we use everyday that is helpful?

Innovation Task:

How might we design a caring robot for a friend or classmate using recycled materials? Afterwards, write a few words or sketch a picture on paper how we might program the robot to be caring.
