HMW Questions

“HMW” stands for How Might We. These open-ended questions spark brainstorming and invite multiple solutions. On the other hand, “How can we” sounds like there’s only one right answer.

Teachers can create HMW questions—or students can write their own. A "HMW question" is a great way to kick off and frame a lesson. Check here for our free graphic organizer via GoogleDocs.
